Products Limit
A brake that doesn't trust your engine.
An equity watchdog that runs outside the engine. It checks your account on a schedule and, when a limit you set is crossed, asks the gateway to block new orders or close positions. It can be late, and a close can fill at a worse price.
Rules vary by firm. Size your limits inside them.- Latest release

- Equity
A what-if on a real backtest day (5-minute equity, qkt 0.55.1). The guardian did not act on this run, so what happens after each line is what happened without it.
In motion
A bad day, in two limits.
See the two limits act on a bad day. Past soft, new orders stop. Past hard, everything is flattened.

How it works
It watches equity, and acts through the gateway.
The guardian polls your floating equity, the number prop-firm rules actually bind on. When a rung of the ladder is hit, it calls the MT5 gateway's kill switch, and flattens if the rung says so.
It knows nothing about your engine. It only talks to the gateway.

A brake, not a guarantee.
- It pollsEvery 30 seconds by default. Equity can move past a limit between polls.
- Flattening has slippageA market close can fill worse than the price that tripped the rung.
- MT5 gateway onlyIt speaks to the MT5 gateway today. The venue gateway has its own kill switch, which you call with its guardian token; Guardrails does not drive it yet.
- Not affiliatedNot affiliated with any firm. The example presets are starting points written from public rules at one point in time. Firms change and interpret their rules, and many restrict automated trading. Read yours, and set limits well inside them.
